Feel-good update: 50% of our May candidates WON!
That's an incredible win-rate. We're so proud of our winners - and the folks who ran great campaigns but came up short.
Hope you had a lovely holiday weekend! We have some great news for you today…
17 of the 34 Run for Something candidates in contested elections throughout May WON!!
That’s an exact 50% win-rate — in line with what we saw last year. We are SO proud of all our winners, and just as proud of the folks who ran great campaigns and are committed to continue leading. As always, winning was never our primary metric of success. Just getting folks in the door in the first place, and making sure they’re running strong, voter-contact driven campaigns, is the whole ballgame for us. (But, winning rules.)
We’ve got more folks on the ballot next week, and even more endorsements coming out very soon — stay tuned.
Two events to put on your calendar…
June 6th — that’s next week!: Party for Something in DC. We’re selling out fast so get your ticket ASAP.
July 21st: Join us in the Hamptons for a beautiful event at the beach. RSVP here.

It’s also worth reading this WSJ story on targeting statehouses. Fun fact: Democrats are contesting 87% of state legislative seats — a figure on pace to be about 600, or 13%, more than in the 2014 midterm elections.
Bushra Amiwala, one of our candidates in IL from earlier this year, lost her campaign — but wrote up a lovely blog post about her experiences for the Muslim American Leadership Alliance.
Finally, this delightful tweet, which sums up why we love our work…
Thanks for making all this possible. You’re the best.
