Feel-good update: Five more winners!
More than half of the RFS candidates on the ballot last week won. Can't stop won't stop.
It’s finally a beautiful day out, so we’ll keep this quick…
FIVE Run for Something candidates won their elections last week, out of the nine on the ballot. Congrats to:
Jackie Leung in Oregon, who ousted an incumbent (in fact, she beat the City Council president!) on the Salem City Council in Oregon
Malcom Kenyatta, who (if he wins in November) will be the first openly gay person of color in the PA state legislature
Mat Jones, who is moving on from the primary for Hastings City Council in Nebraska
Megan Hunt, a badass candidate for state legislature in Nebraska
Sara Innamorato, candidate for state legislature in Pittsburgh, who beat a longtime incumbent/member of a dynastic family.
Check this out, from Sara’s race in particular:

Beyond the elections: Last week, we sat down with McClatchy to do an episode of their Beyond the Bubble podcast, talking about all the women running for office. We also joined Fox News on Sunday for a quick conversation on the direction of the Democratic Party. Good times.
In case you need a reminder things are not 100% horrific: Young people are registering to vote in record numbers.

Finally, don’t forget: Party for Something is very soon! We’ll be joined by Senators Warren, Booker, and Gillibrand on June 6th in D.C. for our first big annual fundraiser. Individual tickets are available now; it’s going to be an extremely fun night. (As if we’d allow it to be anything less.)
Thanks for doing what you to do make this all possible!
Catch up from last week!
